Beautiful Summer blooms. Aren't the Cesalpinias spectacular. It does't look at all like " desert"!

They do really well here and are a common landscaping plant used all over the valley.

What kind of cactus is that? An easter lily? I can't remember, but I love them.
Such pretty colors. I love the lantanas, not the yellow so much, but the purple is pretty.

You know I don't know what kind of cactus it is, I am not a "proper" gardener you know! :) It is very big though, well huge actually, and was here when we moved in. It is covered with masses of flowers at the moment.

Looks we have some of the sam eplants. I just posted some pics of those exact same purple flowers, actually.
They grow wild all along our roads out here. So beautiful and hassle free! A good thing in the desert, eh?
hehe

Hi Twinville, they are lantana, and although they don't grow wild here in our hot town, they do very well with little water once established. They are used often for landscaping here because they are so low maintenence.

Your blog is lovely, look forward to visiting again soon! :)

The white cactus blooms are beautiful! I have a similar night blooming one, but haven't been able to determine what type it is- all the photos are just lovely!
