Everyday when I check the weather, I see those triple digits out your way and think of you and Leaner. I'd surely die in that heat! ;) It's amazing that you get such beautiful flowers when it's that hot out. Nice job!

I often feel like I wil die in the heat too! There are lots of plants that are heat hardy, besides the obvious ones like cactus. It is a shame really because everything grows like mad and blooms all summer, and we are hardly outside enough to enjoy it.

What a sweet bunch of photos! We are barely getting some of the wild flowers out in the sage here. It will be a little while before we see anything in our gardens. I empathize with you in the heat. We had 90 degrees a few days ago and I thought I was going to keel over.

Love the photos. It's a treat to visit a blog where I recognize every plant for a change!

Hi Aiyana, I know just what you mean! I am so poor with identifying plants in places other than the desert now, (not that I was ever great). Glad to see I am not alone! :)

Thanks Rajesh, I loved your post about Jaipur, a place I have always wanted to visit.

I am gradually learning to take care of my own yard, after moving here 5 years ago, and never having had to do anything even remotely close to gardening. I've had some successes and failures, but am not giving up anytime soon and have actually begun to enjoy it. I appreciate your insights and will continue to check your blog for helpful hints. Thanks!
