My favorite? The one where you can see the clouds in the background and bug flying by. You have a VERY good camera....you can see the bugs wings!!!! (Or was that just a spot on my computer screen?)

I'm collecting cacti so I can watch their cycle of flowers. So amazing. Such beauty in the desert.

Beautiful photos. I have always loved cactus flowers. They seem so delicate compared to their source.

Amy, you make me laugh. No, I don't think it is a spot on your computer screen, well not unless I have one in the same place! :)

Bo, the white flower belongs to the enormous cactus in our front yard, and of course I have absolutely no clue what it is called! I am such a fake gardener.

I agree Jenn, cactus flowers really are like no others considering the conditions they thrive in.

Thanks Judy, I too love cactus flowers, and feel glad that I have a chance to see how amazing they are by living here.

June looks wonderful in your desert garden. Mo, are you growing the Pitaya cactus. It has a very palatable fruit, one is raspberry red with tiny black seeds and the other is yellow. They are both packed with all sorts of goodies, minerals and vitamins and are yummy to eat.

Thank you so much Titania for clarifying which cactus it is! :) Ours has red fruit, and the birds go crazy for them, though it sounds as though we should be grabbing them first. Thanks again. I have so much to learn. x

Hi-I just found you recently and I am SO happy to see another AZ gardener on line. I am always searching to see what others are doing in the garden here in our crazy Southwestern area. I too, also love the cactus flowers-I just hate the heat. Please keep sharing!
