Those Dangerous British Biscuits!

"More than half of all Britons have been injured by biscuits ranging from scalding from hot tea or coffee while dunking or breaking a tooth eating during a morning tea break, a survey has revealed."

I had never thought of eating an English biscuit as being a particularly dangerous pastime, but this story has made me reconsider that assumption.

I will make sure that I am extra careful next time I dunk! :)

It's those Walker's Shortbreads... They're out to get you!!!

Far too nyummy, you're far too busy enjoying the taste to even notice you've burnt yourself :)

Oh that's so funny! Who would have thought biscuits could be dangerous! Except of course to one's waistline! ;)

Breaking a tooth?! They must be some mighty hard biscuits.

Thanks girls for the comments! Isn't it hilarious!

Gail, I think the "breaking teeth" event is more a reflection of the condition of the actual teeth involved than the hardness of the biscuits! Us Brits aren't known for our dental hygiene standards you know! :):)

I saw that story, too. Was reassured to see that Jaffa Cakes were rated as the safest biscuits - they were always my favourites (although I seem to recall that there was a legal case over whether they actually are biscuits!).
